Exhibitions

As a group we organise two regular exhibitions each year, one on the Saturday of the Welwyn Festival, and the second through the last weekend in November.   These normally take place in the Scouts HQ, Lockleys Drive, Welwyn.

Our first summer exhibition was at the Church House, Welwyn,  and was quite a scary experience, but we thoroughly enjoy and meeting so many interesting and supportive people.   The level of sales/commissioned work and the lovely comments we received in our visitors book were more than enough encouragement for us to conclude that the whole event had been a great success.

Winter 2001,  we plucked up courage and held our first winter show and art sale just before Christmas at the Art Van Go studios (their first ever exhibition!) just up the road in Knebworth, Herts.  This again proved to be a very pleasant weekend, not surprisingly punctuated by several 'mince-pie and mulled wine' episodes that always help keep the visitors happy (o.k., and the painters too!).

Now that we have held several exhibitions and amassed a set of purpose built portable exhibition stands and kit we have the flexibility to build and dismantle an exhibition almost at a moments notice.  To date, we have been invited to exhibit in places as diverse as Brocket Hall, a private summer garden party, and even the Welwyn Bowls club for their annual dinner celebrations.Mobile_garden_show_2.JPG (87433 bytes)
