Doug came to the area in 1953.  After 5 years in the RAF he returned to the area where he has   been employed.  On his retirement as a quality Manager for a local adhesive company he decided to take up Painting as an activity.   He has been tutored by Keith Burtonshaw, and has studied watercolour at Oaklands College.  He subsequently joined the Willow Watercolour group and has gone from strength to strength.

Recently, he has particularly enjoyed attending workshops with the other group members, but feels that he is still seeking his masterpiece.
